How to turn a screenshot into a Calendar event on iPhone

Find the event by the detail you remember

Event screenshots often come from messages, ticket pages, flyers, and social posts. Search a venue, host, event name, neighborhood, or month. If a category filter is available, narrow to Events after the initial text query rather than relying on capture date alone.

The capture date may have little relationship to the event date. A flyer saved weeks earlier can sit far from the day you need. Text search reaches the date and location printed inside the screenshot instead of depending on the camera-roll timeline.

Verify the four fields that matter

Before opening Calendar, identify the title, calendar date, start time, and location. Check the year, time zone, AM or PM, and whether the screenshot describes doors opening, an appointment window, or the actual start. Mixed event text can produce a plausible but incorrect draft.

Apple's Calendar editor lets a person review the event title, location, start and end times, alerts, invitees, and other fields. That editor should remain visible before anything is saved. A screenshot search app can prepare the draft, but the person should make the final decision.

• Any registration, ticket, or arrival note

Keep the handoff evidence-based

A useful handoff carries only details supported by the screenshot. If no end time appears, the draft should not invent one as fact. If the location is ambiguous, keep the text available for review rather than silently choosing a map result.
