Headless CMS when the brand needs to scale content

Headless CMS branding matters when a founder-led site outgrows one-off pages but still needs verbal identity locked across case studies, findings, and service copy. A headless stack separates structured content from presentation so editors add posts without breaking the layout system.

When does headless beat a page builder alone?

Choose headless when content types multiply (editorial, work, team, legal), when the same narrative ships to web and other channels, or when developers need schema-level guardrails on voice fields, SEO metadata, and hero assets. WordPress with locked Bricks components can work for simpler sites. Headless fits brands planning editorial cadence and component reuse at scale.

What should stay locked?

Typography tokens, color roles, component variants, and approval paths for publish. The CMS carries words and media. The design system carries recognition. We use Sanity on our own stack because structured editorial blocks map cleanly to Findings and long-form posts without flattening tables or FAQs at seed time.

FAQ

Does headless require a developer for every post?
No, if schemas and Studio are configured for editors. Developers own schema; editors own entries.
