DOXA.
The studio

Doxa is a creative studio. We figure out what a brand should say, then design and build everything that says it.

Brand strategy, verbal identity, web, and social, made in one place. Strategy leads, the words and the design follow, and nothing gets handed off down the line.

What we believe

We settle what a brand means before we design how it looks.

Most studios open with how a thing looks. We open earlier, with what the brand stands for and the exact words it uses to say it. By the time design starts, the hard calls are already made, and everything you can see is built to carry them.

One studio, four disciplines

Cheap web shops start at the template. Pure designers skip the strategy. Doxa runs the whole arc, from the first question about what a brand means to the launched site that says it.

Matt came to design through writing, so the words come first here. Verbal identity sits beside strategy and design instead of getting added at the end. Every brand we build sounds like itself before it ever looks like anything.

The work splits four ways: brand strategy and identity, verbal identity and voice, web design and build, and social strategy and design. Sold as one engagement, not a menu.

One principal, a tight bench

A studio by Matt Powell.

Doxa is small on purpose. One principal runs every engagement, with a short bench of collaborators brought in by name when the work calls for it. Nothing gets handed to a junior you never met.

A doctorate in intercultural studies trained the part of the job that matters most: reading a market and an audience, and understanding what a name means to the people who use it before deciding what it should say. Strategy first, then everything that carries it.

A small studio. One principal, a tight bench of collaborators, a high bar.
