How to set a reminder before a free trial ends on iPhone

Capture the date at the moment of signup

Record the trial before you close the confirmation screen. Save the exact end or renewal date, the expected price after the trial, the billing cadence, and the account that owns the subscription. A screenshot or receipt gives you evidence, but you still need to read and confirm the date.

If the trial is billed by Apple, confirm it in Settings under your Apple Account and Subscriptions. If it is not there, check the receipt or the merchant's account page. Do not assume an app downloaded from the App Store is necessarily billed by Apple.

Put the reminder inside a real decision window

A reminder at the exact renewal time is often too late. Choose a moment when you can still test the product, review the paid price, and reach the correct management page. How much room you need depends on the length of the trial and its terms.

• One-month trial: review several days before the stated end.

Make the alert describe the action

A label such as “Trial ends” states a fact but not the next move. Use an alert such as “Review Arcadia Pro before trial renewal,” and include the destination: Apple settings or the merchant page. The reminder becomes a decision prompt instead of a vague warning.

When the alert arrives, verify the current terms before acting. Prices, trial dates, and access after cancellation can vary. The billing platform's confirmation screen and receipt are the final evidence that a change took effect.

Keep proof of the outcome

After keeping, changing, or ending a trial, update the record. If you cancel, retain the merchant or Apple confirmation until the expected billing date passes. If you keep it, replace the trial date with the first paid renewal date and price.
